ABOUT US
"The Sahara Observatory For Peace, Democracy and Human Rights is a non-governmental organization (NGO) , based on a participative approach, with the aim of creating a space for reflection on the topics of democracy, peace and human rights. We focus on advocacy and Monitoring NGOs main subject in The MENA region, Particularly in the Sahara and Sahel regions.
Our NGO was founded in 2016 by Dr.Aicha Duihi, a human rights Activists in in the southern part of Morocco.
Moreover our NGO’s reporting system is approved and accredited by "High Commissioner for Human Rights." as well as contributing to "Universal periodic review operated by the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC)."

Areas of Intervention

Monitoring
At OSPDH, we continue to serve as the primary monitor for human rights in the Sahel and Sahara regions. Our expertise, competencies, and adaptation to recent technologies allow us to be solid focal points in the region.

Protection
At OSPDH, we remain the voice of local communities in the region, advocating for their rights and freedom as our primary goal. Moreover, we work on exclusive initiatives and projects to raise awareness of human rights and promote the inclusion of youth and women .

Communication
The Observatory for Peace, Democracy, and Human Rights remains not only a monitor and protector of human rights but also a communicator on the international, local, and national levels. We actively participate in panels and events through press releases, interventions, interactive dialogues, and social media .
